TRANSPORT MUSEUM NUREMBERG

The Nuremberg Transport Museum comprises the DB-Museum (Deutsche Bahn-Museum) and a Museum for communication. The Nuremberg Transport Museum is one of the oldest technical museums in Nürnberg. The DB-Museum became the offical Company Museum of the DB in 2007. It was established 1899 as a railway museum and is because of that the oldest railyway museum in Germany. It shows off the history of railways. The museum has parts of the royal wagon of Ludwig II, a railcart from the 1950s , an original coal wagon from 1829, the oldest steam locomotive of Germany. They also have a replica of the "Adler"-train. The museum is in possession of a big model collection, with 1:10 scale models occupying 1000squaremeters of the museum.
