NUREMBERG'S FAIR

Nuremberg's fair is a great place to visit as a tourist. It is a place where many events of the year take place. Most of them are informative. It is located in Langwasser, a city district of Nuremberg. The 15 halls are 180.000squaremeters big and in addition to that, it got more 50.000squaremeters outdoor space. And all that space is there to show off the newest inventions of the world. Mainly it is all about the exhibitors and the sponsors. There are about 32.000 exhibitors and 1.4million visitors every year. People from all over the world are coming to be part of Nuremberg's fair. If you are interested in hearing good ideas and seeing cool prototypes, it is the perfect place to go for you.

THE VOLKSFEST The "Nürnberger Volksfest" is an event everyone in Nuremberg knows. It takes place two times a year. One time in spring and the other one in autumn. The "Nürnberger Volksfest" stays for 2 weeks each time it's opend. It takes place at the "Volksfestplatz" Nuremberg, near the "dutzendteich". The "Volksfestplatz" is 100.000 squaremeters big. THE BEAUTIFUL FOUNTAIN Nuremberg's Beautiful Fountain is one of the most popular sights of Nuremberg. It represents the historical aspect of Nuremberg. It is 19m tall and looks like a church spire with gothic details. It isn't quite clear who has built it. Most say it was built by Heinrich Beheim in the period of 1385-1396. Others say it was built by Georg Rupprecht and Fritz Rupprecht in cooperation with Sebald Schonhofer. Fact is that the Beautiful Fountain had to be restored a lot of times. The Beautiful Fountain is very important to the people of Nuremberg. That's why it was protected by a concrete wall in WW2. According to the legend, it gives you luck spinning on a ring at the outer fence. But be careful, you have to spin the black ring for luck. The golden one is only there to trick people.
